Associate of Applied Science Degree in Multimedia Design

The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Multimedia Design prepares students for a firm, in-depth understanding of multimedia technologies and interactive communications. This complete multimedia training will expand students' skills by applying them to the countless new areas of interactive multimedia communication.

Graduates of this program may ultimately be employed in entry-level positions with 2D animation companies. These companies are using dynamic interactivity to enhance user interest, digital video sound and editing acquisition, as well as the use of programming to control multimedia presentations. 3D Modeling/Animation and design may be used for CD-ROM & DVD development, informational kiosks, as well as interactive presentations that both educate and entertain.

The general education component of this program will provide an understanding of social, behavioral and environmental sciences, as well as humanities, language, art history and math. An emphasis is placed on people skills, critical thinking and problem solving.
